Children at school are studying the plant kingdom in science. we are going to learn about the parts of plants and their functions, types of plants and their importance.

THE KAPOK TREE PROJECT FOR SCIENCE

Hello families! During the last few weeks, we have been working and learning about wild animals. Students have read and written about the special characteristics of specific animals that live in the American rainforest, specially, on the kapok tree. 

We learned about the anaconda, the three-toed sloth, the  scarlet macaw, the tapir, coati-mundi, parrots, morpho butterfly, boa constrictor, iguana, etc.

It was really fun to work about animals! Here you are some pictures from our project.

READING IS FUN!

READING IS FUN WHEN READING WITH FRIENDS!

 

 This week our class read with another group of 3rd grade and 6th grade. We showed our friends all our books in our "shoe boxes", we read our favourite book to a partner and they also read a book to us. It was really fun and interesting to go to read with other students!!

SONGS FOR OUR TRIP TO UTRILLAS

SONGS FOR OUR TRIP TO UTRILLAS ON MAY 18th

 

Hello children! As you know, we will go to Utrillas on May 18th with other bilingual schools from Teruel. Boys and girls in 2nd grade from Fuenfresca, Las Viñas, Monreal and two school from Alcañiz will be with us.

During this days we will play different games, a gymkana, a bingo, races, face painting, etc; and all of these activities will be in English. So, are you ready to speak English all day with all your teachers and friends?? ;)

You will get a note from your English teacher with all the information about this day.

We will also sing two songs, one at the begining of the day, and one at the end. These are the songs for you to practice in class and also at home.

It will be a wonderful and fun day!

SCHOOL TRIP TO UTRILLAS

Last week we went to Utrillas with friends from Monreal, Alcañiz and Las Viñas from Teruel. It was a rainy day, but it was also a fabulous day where we played different games like bingo, paint on the face, traditional american and British games, story telling, etc.
